Monash Childrens link

I would like to announce a new link with Monash children's, Monash children's is the 3rd largest children hospital in Australia and is part of the Southern health network. Many members have probably had some association with Monash Children's. Monash children's offer a wide range of services over the Southern health region such as newborn services, paediatric ICU and children's cancer unit to name a few. Southern Health Network includes Monash hospital, moorrabin, dandenong, Kingston and Casey hospital.

On December the 9th Southern health will have Boardies day with half the money going to Mentone LSC and half to Monash children's. Boardies day is a national day to celebrate the work of the life saving community. Members can help by taking a Boardies day envelope to their workplace and doing a gold coin donation more info..

The Mentone 1000 and Splash and Dash

On Saturday 3rd of December is the annual ocean swimming race held at Mentone Beach over a 1km swimming course.  This event attracts hundreds of competitors and marks the start of the summer ocean swimming season.  If you have not swum an ocean event it is the perfect place to have a go.  After the swim we also have board races, a junior swim and finish with the Splash and Dash a race between families! Junior Carnival Williamstown Sunday 11th of December

Our first Carnival will be at Williamstown.  Under 8’s and above can enter and any Under 9 and above must have a swimming badge (S Badge) to compete in the water events.  The club will be holding S badge assessments leading up to this event.

Friday night meals

The Friday night meals will kick off again this summer on Friday the 18th of November and go through to March.  With the bar open and great views of the bay what better way to finish the week.
